or: How La Dolce Vita came to Axams

Sergio Gugliotta emigrated to Austria in 1997 - to his wife Sabrina. They have two children, Valentina and Enrico, and have been running Ristorante PizzaPazza together since 2005. 

​

What began as a small delivery and pick-up service in the centre of Axam has established itself over the years as a culinary fixture in the low mountain range and beyond. Moved in 2009, the current location scores with 70 seats in the restaurant and 40 on the covered, idyllic terrace with all-round mountain views of the Nordkette, Rosskogel, Martinswand, Karwendel, Kögele, etc.

Those who know Sergio know that he is more a man of deeds than words: from pizza maker to cook, waiter and caretaker to amateur sommelier, he always does what he can - and he can do (almost) everything.

​

His passion for good, exclusive wine has given rise to Sergio's latest project and pride of place: the in-house, self-walled wine cellar with fine wines, which can now be tasted in a small setting and stylish ambience.

Our fresh products come from our long-standing supplier in Italy. In the summer, we use spices and salads from our own cultivation as well as mushrooms and berries we have picked ourselves. And just like Chef Sergio, the décor of PizzaPazza is not "off the peg": our interior comes from craftsmen from the region, and we have installed the beams on the restaurant ceiling from the old roof truss.
